Welcome to my website.  I am in the middle of re-structuring/updating this website.  If you click once on an image, it will enlarge.  If it does not, it means I have not updated it yet.

I live in the Monterey Peninsula, California  with its spectacular scenery  and home  to so many artists. I was born and grew up in the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean;  considered one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I started painting when I moved to the Peninsula approximately 10 years ago, taking art lessons at Monterey Peninsula College and the Carmel Adult School and studying under and taking workshops from Mark Farina, Dick Crispo, Rodney Winfield, Tim and Rose Sloan, Melissa Bispo, Mary Titus and Anne Thiermann.

All of my paintings are originals.  Most of the landscape paintings were done “plein air” (on location), braving wind and cold.  This way I can capture the true colors of nature.  A “plein air” painter seeks mood, atmosphere and spontaneity.  Sometimes I finish the paintings in the studio.  I work with several mediums to expand my creative reach.

I am a member of the Central Coast Art Association and the Monterey Peninsula Art Foundation.  I have exhibited at various juried shows and won several prizes.   I am also a member of the San Francisco Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Modern Art.

I hope you enjoy looking at these images; please come back as I will be updating the website from time to time with new images.
